In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “It will be said to the companion of the Quran when he enters Paradise: Recite and ascend! Thus, he will recite and ascend one level for each verse until he recites the last one with him.”

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, one who does not hold anything from the Quran in his heart is like a ruined house.”

Abu Musa reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Be committed to the Quran. By the One in whose hand is my soul, it can leave you faster than a camel from its reins.”

Al-Qasim reported: Abu Umamah, may Allah be pleased with him, said, “Recite the Quran and do not be mistaken about these connected pages, for Allah will not punish a heart that preserves the Quran.”

Abu Musa Al-Ashari reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The example of a believer who recites the Quran is that of a citrus fruit which tastes good and smells good; and one who does not recite the Quran is like a date which tastes good but has no smell. The example of a wicked person who recites the Quran is that of basil which smells good but tastes bitter; and a wicked person who does not recite the Quran is that of a vine which tastes bitter and has no smell.

The other day, I was prepared to recite some of Surah Al Kahf to my hifdh teacher. I opened my mouth and Surah Al Fatiha came out of it.
Reminds me of another of my teacher, he says, "until it flows like surah Al Fatiha, you do not know it well enough."
