In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Recently, we translated this ayah with a sister in the QAT program, and I have been quite fascinated.
{ وَیُدۡخِلُهُمُ ٱلۡجَنَّةَ عَرَّفَهَا لَهُمۡ }
“And He will admit them to Paradise, which He has made known to them.” [Muhammad 47: 6]
I would not describe myself as adventurous.
I am someone who finds comfort in the familiar rather than seeking out new and adventurous experiences. I am content with the known, the things that I have grown accustomed to. Even when faced with unfamiliar choices, such as encountering difficult-to-pronounce items on a menu, I often find solace in opting for what I am familiar with, like, “jollof rice.”
Here, in this ayah, Allah said that Jannah has been made known to His believers, a destination where familiarity and comfort is promised.
Deep it!
The idea of being welcomed into a place that is not only known but perfectly tailored to our deepest desires and needs is truly beautiful.
Jannah where no eyes have seen or mind can imagine but every corner and aspect is intimately familiar to its people. As much as we cannot comprehend it, it remains a place where every soul feels a sense of belonging and tranquility, as if returning to a cherished home after a long journey.
Oh Jannah!
A place that resonates deeply within our hearts, fulfilling our longing for familiarity, comfort, and eternal bliss. A mercy from Allah.
In a Hadith Qudsi…
Narrated by Abu Huraira (RA), the Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Allah said, "I have prepared for My righteous slaves (such excellent things) as no eye has ever seen, nor an ear has ever heard nor a human heart can ever think of”
You do not need to be anxious about it. It will be familiar and comfortable. So go ahead, beg for it, ask for it, wish for it, seek it and work for it.
May Allah admit us into His Jannah. Amīn.
